The challenge
The owner needed continuous technical presence during the yard period: following the yard scope day by day, controlling variations, witnessing tests and keeping the office informed without adding to its own headcount.
OFFSHORE DRILLING · SITE SUPERVISION
Three months of resident site supervision for a drillship at a Norwegian yard.
The owner needed continuous technical presence during the yard period: following the yard scope day by day, controlling variations, witnessing tests and keeping the office informed without adding to its own headcount.
A resident site supervisor covered 93 days on site — daily reporting, scope and variation tracking, attendance at tests and inspections, and the interface between yard, class and the owner’s team.
The yard period closed with documented progress and variation control; supervision was reported and invoiced monthly against agreed rates.
